James Dye is a 2000 graduate of Dacula High School in Gwinnett County. There he played 3rd baseman and pitcher through his freshman, sophomore and junior years of baseball. He played football all four years and as Dacula’s Varsity Defensive Lineman, he made the All-County football team his senior year. Coach Dye graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College and earned his Bachelors of Arts in History in May 2016. He looks forward to his first year teaching Civics and Geography at Banks County High School for the 2016-2017 school year. He also will help coach baseball and football. He is excited to do what he loves most by working with high school aged students and kids who enjoy playing ball. He is proud to be a part of such a special group of teachers and coaches at Banks County High School. He has been married to his wife, Angela, for 8 years and together they have one daughter, Ellie, who turns 1 in August. During time off, Coach Dye enjoys spending time with his family, including his 14 nieces and nephews.
